ABOUT US:

Scherer photography was founded by Laurel Scherer in 2003. We are based in Asheville, NC. Our services include all types of photography, as well as photoshop and design services.

Each summer, our staff of five photographers can be found photographing whitewater rafters on the French Broad River. We cover various other events throughout the year, and offer commercial, portrait, and stock photography.

Laurel started working as a photographer and photoshop specialist after spending eight years as an Air Force Public Affairs officer. During her time in the service, she managed many internal publications, and assisted national news media in obtaining Air Force related stories worldwide. During her final assignment at the Pentagon, Scherer oversaw the redesign of the public Air Force Web Site, Air Force Link.
